R.Forgan Lofter c1880 Antique Golf Club

This Lofter was made by Robert Forgan and Sons around 1880. The head is hand forged work and there is a sharp crease between the top of the blade and the hosel. The stamps are very feint and R.Fo and St.Andre is visible. The head has an even red/brown patina and could if desired be cleaned back to a more uniform grey colour but I prefer to leave as is! The shaft is a beautiful chestnut colour and is original. The grip is suede and is original. Club measures 38 inches top to toe. There is minor movement between head and shaft but this club is fully playable. Email me if you are looking for any particular early pieces of golf memorabilia.
