Willie Park General Iron Antique Golf Club c 1890

This Wm Park iron dates 1890. It has the W.PARK MAKER MUSSELBURGH oval stamp. The head has a dark even smooth patina. Head is smooth faced as would be expected. The shaft looks original but no shaft stamp is evident ...it may be under the sheepskin grip which also looks original and has a fine pine tar layer in places...this is normal for waterproofing on golf grips of this vintage and reaffirms its age. The shaft is slightly bowed by about half inch over the length. Club measures 41 inches top to toe.
