Replica 17th Century Heavy Iron

£199.99

Buy yourself a fullsize replica 17th century Heavy Iron. The original heavy iron is part of the "Troon Clubs" in the golf museum in St.Andrews, Scotland, and is worth in excess of £1 million. No matter how much money you have, the original will never be available for purchase as it is one of the greatest treasures of golf. These replicas are handmade to order. The head is metal and has an aged finish. It has features as the original including a dished face, a hammer-weld line up the back of the hosel, a spur toe, thick knicking where the shaft meets the shaft and it is pinned front-to-back as the original. The shaft is handcrafted and is nearly an inch in diameter as the original. When you swing this club you'll know why they were called "heavy irons"! It is believed this the original set of Troon Clubs could have belonged to a Scottish King ( see the markings on the woods also for sale). Although we cannot give any offical guarantees against breakage, each one of our clubs is made to a playable standard should you want to experience what swinging a club of this era was truly like. These clubs will add to any collection, or will make a truly unique gift for any golfer.(Please Note: as each club is commissioned and hand crafted the pictures shown above do not show the actual club you will receive, however, it will be of identical size, shape, materials and form). PLEASE NOTE THE FEATHERY GOLF BALL IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SALE- IT IS PURELY TO SHOW THE SIZE OF THE CLUBHEAD.
