These replicas are made to order using authentic materials, tools and techniques. The fruitwood head is nearly 6 inches in length and has a metal backweight and a ramshorn leading edge slip. The shaft is handcrafted from lengths of ash. They are joined using a scarf joint (sometimes called a scared or spliced neck) which is covered with flax whipping. The long and sturdy shaft has a pure wool wrapped grip. The crown of each head is marked as per the original with a small stamp showing a stylised thistle, a crown, a "I" and a "C". It is believed this indicates the original club could have belonged to a Scottish King.
